Georgetown University Waiver Requirement

 

 

Coverage with an unlimited benefit maximum;

  • A Plan that has coverage in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area;
  • A Plan that has coverage for inpatient and outpatient medical treatment;
  • A Plan in effect no later than the last day of your applicable Open Enrollment Period; and,
  • A Plan that will remain in effect for the remainder of your Academic year.

    • * Students holding a J1, JS, or F1 visa will be required to purchase the Premier Plan with only a few exceptions. Exceptions will be made if you are covered under an employer or embassy plan.


  • Cover medical evacuation to your home country at 100%; and,
  • Have a deductible that does not exceed $500 per illness or injury.

    Individual plans and/or travel plans will not be considered acceptable other coverage for waiving the Premier Plan.
